Now, let’s talk about the history of Maggie Sottero! Maggie Sottero Designs was founded by Wayne and Lesley Webster alongside her mother, Dorothy Steiner, over 25 years ago. The brand bears the namesake of Lesley’s beloved great-grandmother, Margaret “Maggie” Sottero. Lesley’s daughter, Kelly Midgley, followed in her footsteps, establishing two additional labels. While Sottero and Midgley was born for the ultra-chic bride, Rebecca Ingram embodied another family name and completed the trio of collections. (Too cute, right?!)

We can’t talk about Maggie Sottero without mentioning our design team! Meet our Lead Designer, Eric Woo! With more than 20 years of experience, Woo is one of the world’s most respected and talented bridal designers in the industry. He’s been sketching ideas and dreaming of a career in couture bridalwear since he was just 14 years old. A prodigy? 1000%. Edric’s talent has helped our brands earn multiple design accolades, including the Desert Rose, DEBI, Dallas Rose, and Diva Awards. (We love him!)
Along with Edric, we have a seriously fantastic design team that works hard to create stunning styles for every type of bride. This incredible team - including Creative Director Kelly Midgley, designers Mark and Chris Russell and Patricia DeLaunary, and design assistants and management - is the magic behind the scenes of every dress. Consider them your very own bridal fairy godparents! We truly couldn’t do it without their unique vision and talent! In other words, they are the moment.
